JAMES BAES (1936-2017) became acquainted with the female form spending time in the Paris atelier of his father, Flemish painter Emile Baes, whose subject was the classical nude. Throughout his lifetime, James was, in turn, the lead photographer for magazines such as LUI, Playboy, and Stern alongside celebrated photographers such as Helmut Newton and Francis Giacobetti.
